Are you a detail-oriented finance or mortgage professional with strong Excel skills? A prominent State Housing & Mortgage Organization in Atlanta is seeking a temporary Investor Reporting Analyst to join their back-office financial operations team.
This is a stable, long-term contract (6 to 12 months) perfect for a junior analyst, experienced mortgage servicer, or reconciliation specialist looking to secure a steady, high-utility role with a reputable public sector organization.
What You Will Do Every Day:
- Data & Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations, research clearing accounts, and track payment processing exceptions.
- Portfolio Support: Assist with investor reporting, portfolio management, remittance verification, and documentation.
- Banking Transactions: Handle stop payments, disbursement maintenance, loan adjustments, modifications, and wire transfer logging.
- Financial Research: Perform loan-level transaction research, escrow advance recovery reporting, and servicing revenue analysis.
What We Are Looking For (Required):
- Education/Experience: An Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field PLUS 2 years of professional experience in mortgage servicing, loan operations, accounting, billing, or financial reconciliations. (Note: 2+ years of direct, relevant experience without a degree will also be considered).
- Technical Muscle: Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (you must understand how functions connect and be comfortable handling large data sets).
- Core Traits: Exceptional organizational habits, sound process judgment, and a natural knack for back-office research and puzzle-solving.
Preferred "Gold Star" Qualifications:
- Software: Direct experience utilizing Black Knight / MSP software is highly preferred.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with Treasury Management, banking research, or custodial account management.
